The HM-12S is a standard PET cyclotron from Sumitomo Heavy Industries. It is built for routine clinical production of the isotopes behind most PET scans, and its compact vertical magnet arrangement keeps the installation small.
- Dual-port, multi-target. Two beam ports with four targets each let one machine supply several isotopes without reconfiguring.
- Self-shielding option. Compared with wall shielding alone, the self-shielded model reduces total weight and building cost, and keeps the power supply and control unit in the cyclotron room.
- Easy operation and maintenance. A high degree of automatic control, and magnet and shielding arrangements that make maintenance safe and simple. Remote monitoring is available.
